Htel Casa di Mama

At 8:45 PM, the host ordered us out of the sitting area like we were little kids. Mama is so inhospitable!

We were glad it was only one night. The room itself was clean, but our mansarde had a small bed and a ceiling that only worked for people under 1.60m. The bathroom smelled bad and was literally falling apart. The pool was disgusting, and the water didn't seem to be changed often. Breakfast was miserable, with old coffee that had been microwaved. The hostess was rude, kept raising her voice, and made a huge scene when she couldn't see our card payment come through. We called our bank and they confirmed we'd paid. I also understood her speaking badly about us in French, including saying she hoped we would go “home” soon. She didn't know I was fluent, and I found it really unprofessional. Don't go. With the hostess and all the rest, this is no three-star hotel. Run away from this hell of a place.

The rooms were decent and pleasant enough. The owner's rudeness put me off so much that I wouldn't return.

We had a lovely two-night visit and would come back. The heated pool was the icing on the cake, and everything felt warm and welcoming. Our room was inviting, the bed comfortable, and it was spotless. Breakfast was good and generous, with cheerful service from Jacques Mathieu.
