We loved the yoga sessions and had a lot of fun at aqua fitness, though there were plenty of other activities we didn't get around to trying. The compost bins were a great touch too, with waste sorting taken to another level. Corsica itself is stunning, and we'll have to come back to enjoy more of the campsite. The setting felt relaxed and natural, with a real sense of freedom and harmony. It didn't need to look perfect; what mattered was the atmosphere and the people. Staff blended in with the guests, often around even when they weren't working, so interactions felt more like friends meeting than staff serving campers. Our neighbors were friendly as well, and evenings brought events at the restaurant or snack bar. Things settled down at night without lots of signs laying out strict quiet hours. A wild boar might pass through, but it wasn't an issue if you tidied your rubbish and food scraps. The pitches were shaded and cozy, with a free choice of where to stay. The beach and access to the sea were lovely and not crowded. There weren't rows of reserved loungers, and the rule against saving a spot or leaving beach gear out was one of the few campsite rules we were glad to see. We also liked the shared open shower area in the sanitary building, which had a few private cabins for anyone who wanted them. Naturism at its purest, and wonderful. Food and supplies were easy to find on site. The little supermarket had what we needed and stayed open from 8 am to 8 pm, as did the restaurants, plus there was a snack bar for something between meals. It was a wonderful stay at La Chiappa, a genuinely special campsite with everything we needed to feel comfortable.

The grocery shop on site was well stocked, and the showers were hot and worked well. The naturist resort has two pools, including a beautiful infinity pool looking over the bay. At the beach, the sand was clean, with a bar and restaurant right beside it. A pint of beer cost €9. The water was shallow to walk into, with gentle, flat waves. Most camping pitches were shaded, and some looked out over the sea and beach.

The two main beaches were clean and great for swimming, snorkeling, standup paddleboarding, windsurfing, or simply relaxing in the sun. They're sheltered too, so even when the sea is rough the water at the beach is often flat and calm. Just south of the campsite, a short walk away, there are some tiny beaches with clearer, bluer water. A popular public sandy beach is about a 40-minute walk and worth the trip. The pool is clean, with a lifeguard always there, and there's free mini golf, I believe. The sauna is another nice way to finish the day, free and open until 8 pm. The restaurant often has free live music in the evenings. We stayed in a bungalow in September. It was expensive, but having a kitchen and our own bathroom was nice. The campsite covers a large area, and it wasn't easy to tell where the pitches were, so I imagine they may have a map. The wash facilities had everything you'd expect, including a dog shower, and always seemed clean and well kept. It's a bit off the beaten track and takes a while to reach, which also keeps it quiet and secluded. A large camper might have a tricky drive in, though several managed it. We often drove half an hour for groceries, but the Proxi campsite shop is well stocked and its prices didn't seem much higher than the main supermarkets in town. It also saves the trip and the often frustrating checkout wait. Don't trust booking sites saying it's full, call them directly. Reception is friendly, and they speak English, German, Italian for sure, and French. There seems to be 24-hour security at the gate, keeping a close eye on arrivals and departures. Cars stay in the outside car park, which is good, though you can drive in briefly to unload shopping and on your first and last days to pack. We hope to return. It's a great place to stay. We booked through September, but it was expensive and the kitchen and bathroom made it worthwhile.

The kids were sad much of the time, but finding a paddleboat for +400€ saved the holiday. I came mainly because of the pools for my children. Pool rules require kids to be naked, and that made no sense to me. One of mine didn't feel comfortable being naked around so many other kids this year, which is legitimate, but they sent him out. After that we didn't use the pool at all. The receptionist team came across as very pretentious and wasn't helpful. Once we'd paid, they didn't seem interested in helping us. They're still unable to speak other languages, English for example. I can't understand that. English isn't my language, but it's the only one I can speak besides my own, and they didn't understand the other one either. I'm sorry I didn't learn French. It was windy all the time, and when someone walked nearby, a whole cloud of fine black sand would blow everywhere. The walks around the place were very long. The beaches, sand, which felt like mud, and underwater area in front of the beach were all very bad. We wasted three weeks here and paid far too much for it. I hope this helps anyone thinking of coming with family. Sorry, but this is the reality of the place.

I loved staying here. Where I'm from, big, beautiful clothing-optional resorts just don't exist, so getting to have breakfast naked while looking out at a beautiful beach was a treat. There was loads of space to relax, and the facilities were amazing. With both camping and bungalows, there's an option for everyone.
