We were welcomed by friendly staff, but the first accommodation was a huge disappointment. It looked like an abandoned squat and seemed to be falling apart. The sliding patio door had signs of several attempted break-ins and wouldn't latch properly. We asked to move, and the staff were very helpful about it. The second apartment felt much more homely, was better furnished, and had comfortable sun loungers and a beautiful beach view. It was still dated and didn't look like the advertised pictures. There was no hand soap, which seems standard in most places and felt a bit stingy. Your experience will depend on which accommodation you get, as they vary a lot.

There are flats available, and the beach is wonderful, with crystal clear water. The smaller beach is better for couples, though there are lots of mosquitoes near the trees. The hike up the nearest mountain is a rough nature trail, but if you make it to the top, the view of the bay is great (see photos).

The view and location were the best things about the residence. We found the room disappointing for the high price, with very dated furniture. Service felt stingy too: you get one roll of low-quality toilet paper and no soap. Definitely book an apartment with a sea view. We would have been very upset without one.

My family and I have loved coming here for years. Two beaches are just a few minutes away on foot, and you can drive to plenty of others. The houses are small but comfortable, and the garden is a nice place to eat and relax in the evening. For breakfast, you can walk to the nearby supermarket for fresh baguettes, croissants, and pain au chocolate.

Unit 440 made for a great stay, especially with its lovely terrace and easy access to Santa Giulia beach. The only downside was the mosquitoes on the terrace. Maybe the residence could do more to spray the area with insect repellent.
