The breakfast was generous and delicious, served in the dining room with a view of the large rear gardens. We also had plenty of room in the bright, clean and comfortable “pink room,” which can sleep up to four across connecting rooms. There’s a salon upstairs with games and a TV. The house has an elegant, traditional French country interior, and the hosts welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. Pougy is a peaceful village, well placed for exploring the region or stopping over on the way to or from the UK. A beautiful, grand house, highly recommended.

We spent a night here on the way to the French Alps, and the quiet garden made it especially relaxing to sit outside with our very tasty 'planche', a meat and cheese platter, and a glass or two of champagne. The host was really friendly and wanted to make sure everything was just right for our stay. A lovely place.

That peony arrangement has stayed with me. We spent one night in this magnificent building, where our hosts made us feel at ease straight away with such a warm welcome. The room was lovely, very comfortable and spotless, a real haven. Breakfast was generous and full of excellent fresh products, and we enjoyed it so much. A heartfelt THANK YOU to our hosts for their kindness and hospitality. If only there were more lovely people like them in the world, it would be perfect. Endless gratitude 😉🥰
