Hôtel Restaurant Breiz Armor

We had a pleasant evening on a friend's smaller balcony after a neighbour started smoking on the shared one overlooking the harbour. We had planned to eat a cold picnic on our balcony, but the hotel gave us just 24 hours' notice that the restaurant would be closed, leaving us little time or opportunity to find somewhere else on a Sunday evening. The same thing happened on the next evenings at two other Logis hotels. The place felt a bit tired. Most rooms have sea views and balconies.

The slow service was a letdown. We had to remind staff several times about our drinks, and they left the wine on the next table for us to collect instead of pouring it or bringing it to ours. We chose the seafood platter, but the restaurant hadn't provided the right tools to get all the seafood out of its shells. The food itself was okay. We'd been looking forward to eating here after our friends' great reviews, so we were pretty disappointed. I wouldn't return.

We spent our last day of the holiday having lunch here, and it was worth every penny. The food and wine were delicious, and so was dessert. Prices aren't cheap, but the quality is outstanding. We also enjoyed coffee at the terrace bar during our time in Penhors, Brittany. The view is great, and the staff are friendly, helpful, prompt, and professional. We were sad to leave this beautiful seaside spot and hope to come back soon.

The view from our table across the harbour to the sea was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, which helped make our dinner memorable, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented.
