The setting is quiet and tucked away, about a 25-minute drive from Angoulême, which made it a lovely place to unwind. We stayed at the beginning of November, and the electric heating added €100 to the bill for our five days. The farmhouses have been beautifully renovated, with lots of room indoors and a generous outdoor area.

The nights were calm and full of stars, one little drawback. Still, Claire and Eric made the stay special. They're cooks, carpenters, gardeners, and plenty more, though hosting isn't what they've done all their lives. We'll be back every year. It felt like a real haven of peace.

We were staying here for a long time, housed by our employer, but only right at the end did the host strangely label us undesirable. The owner also comes into the cottage without asking and switches off the radiators in winter. Cleaning needs work too. Petty and dishonest are the words that fit these people. Just look at their response.

Claire and Éric were attentive, warm hosts, and I had a wonderful week at the Logis de Flamenac. The place has real charm and the rooms are comfortable. I’ll come back!

The accommodation had everything we needed, and the owners made us feel welcome. It was a lovely stay and a great way to discover the Charente region. The peaceful spot is also just a short distance from the magnificent Château de la Rochefoucauld.
