We liked the flexibility at breakfast, which was served when it suited us rather than at a fixed time. Even after our Saturday night stay, Sunday's bread had come fresh from the local boulangerie that morning. The room was clean and tidy, with a double bed and an ensuite shower room; twin beds are available in other rooms. There's no evening meal, as you'd expect at a B&B, but Prie en Pail is only a five minute drive away and has a rather nice Italian restaurant, La Sosta. It's a quaint little place off the beaten track, and Alison was a pleasure.

The owner welcomed us warmly, spoke excellent English, showed us around, then gave us space to relax. The quiet surroundings made a welcome break after an exhausting week at the lemans 24 hour. Breakfast was modest, just croissant and peti pan, but it was enough and offered in such an easy, homely way. If you're after a quiet, relaxing stay with a good welcome and room to do your own thing, I'd thoroughly recommend this B&B.
