The apartment itself had a queen-size bed, a sofa bed, and room for three to four people. Its kitchen came with cooking facilities, utensils, and a coffee machine, which made for a convenient, cozy stay. Canvas La Défense is a new, clean, modern complex. The shared lounge, gym, and games room were cozy and easy to access with the apartment card. They also hold a cinema night every Tuesday. The laundry room is spacious, with nearly 20 washing machines and vending machines for snacks and cleaning supplies. It's a short walk to Westfield, with two large supermarkets and lots of clothing shops. The train station is inside the mall, so getting around Paris was easy.

The apartment was fine, but losing one access card cost us €70. The key holder was in poor condition, and the fee was deducted from our card automatically without our confirmation. I asked several times for an itemized cost breakdown, but never got one, only vague explanations about internal procedures.

I paid nearly €880 for 4 nights at an apartment hotel run by Edgar Suites. The place is actually on a university campus, which their website doesn't mention. There was no air conditioning on arrival, just a fan, so I had to leave and book another hotel at my own expense. It took 16 days and several follow-ups for the refund to come through. Completely unreliable for foreign travelers.

Getting into Paris took just a few minutes by bus, with a stop right across the street, and the view of the La Défense towers at sunset was magnificent. The new apartment was impeccable, spotless, and thoughtfully set up. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and had a wonderful stay. The flat manager was kind and welcoming, and the welcome note and little box of chocolates were a lovely touch. I highly recommend the place and would gladly return.
