Maison d'hôtes Le Château de Puxe

We slept so well here. The bed was huge, the linen crisp, and the room was quiet apart from the birds outside. There was no duvet, but the heating kept us perfectly warm. Le Comte is a spacious room with a wooden floor, two windows facing the gardens and old horse chestnut trees, and a large bathroom with a great shower. Everything was spotless, and we enjoyed strolling around the grounds. The welcome was really warm, and our hostess spoke very good English. Breakfast was simple, just croissants, baguette, honey, and homemade jams, but we were happy with it. This is a lovely find in tiny Puxe, a hamlet of just over 100 people. There are five B&B rooms, while the rest of the Chateau is used for civil wedding ceremonies and private apartments. Check-in is at 16.00, and guests get their own room and front door keys. We enjoyed our stay and have no complaints at all.
