The kitchen downstairs was set up with everything needed for cooking, including a dishwasher, oven, microwave, hob, kettle, washing machine, and dishes. Vlad was attentive and really friendly when he welcomed me. My room was comfortable and very clean, with a private bathroom and bathtub, TV, free Wi-Fi, and a bottle of water😉.

The price was reasonable, and there was free Wi-Fi plus a complimentary bottle of water in each room. But the mezzanine room is only suitable if you're no taller than about 1.30m (4'3"). The bathtub had almost no water pressure, and with the ceiling so low, showering meant sitting down. The skylight had no blind, so sleeping in the morning was difficult. Cleanliness was questionable, and although two couples were staying in the apartment, there was only one set of keys.

I’ve stayed at quite a few guest houses, and this one stands out as the best. The price is also easily the best value for money, and I’d recommend it without hesitation. The staff are so welcoming, the room is spacious, and there’s everything you need for cooking. Breakfast was great too, with cakes and other treats made by Madame. For me, this is the benchmark guest house in Puyoo.

Vladimir gave us a very warm welcome. The heating was off when we arrived, and there was a slight musty smell, but otherwise it was very good for a night.
