I stayed one night on November 15, 2025, and came away agreeing with the negative reviews. The website and photos made me think there might have been a renovation, but perhaps the hotel once looked that way. Back in its heyday it might have been a good three-star place. The room had the basics, including a telephone, but the tiny shelf beside the bed couldn’t hold it, so it was left on the floor. The room smelled strongly musty. In the bathroom, there was mold on the ceiling, which made me wonder about the health risk, and the sink looked grimy under its many layers of paint. The heater right in front of the toilet had stains that looked like urine splashes from flushing, and the room was so cramped that this seemed plausible. I’d strongly recommend finding another hotel, especially for the price. Breakfast was okay, but nowhere near as extensive as the website photos suggest. I also have a dust allergy, and my eyes, nose, and throat were quite irritated after the night. Booking.com lets you enter an arrival time, but that wasn’t useful here: the hotel closes in the early afternoon during this period and reopens at 5:00 PM.

The price was great for what we got, and there was plenty of parking out front. I’d seen the complaints about smells, cramped rooms, dirt, and bad food, so I hesitated, but I booked and was very happy I did. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful, the room was perfectly clean, and breakfast was great. It isn’t the newest “Royal Luxor Deluxe,” but it’s a fantastic-value place for travelers.

We booked just 15 minutes ahead, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. It’s close to the highway, with lots of restaurants within walking distance, and the breakfast was very good and more than complete. The rooms are fresh and very clean, a little outdated but totally fine. Most of all, the beds were good and the linen excellent. Good value for money, and a pleasant tourist hotel for a quick, comfortable stay.

The room was dark and suffocating, and nothing like the first few photos we saw online. We were driving home from Italy toward Germany and found it on Google Maps as a convenient place to sleep for the night. It was late, so we paid before seeing the room. The air conditioning didn’t work, and the electric fan reception gave us was too small to help. Assya, the receptionist, said cancelling wouldn’t be a problem, so we did, but they never refunded us as promised. We emailed that same night as Assya asked, followed up several times, and even called after we got home. The person who answered was rude and hung up on me. This place just isn’t worth €75 (++), and sadly, I don’t trust them.

We arrived to a very nice welcome at reception, and our dog was warmly received too. The hotel itself is old and poorly maintained, though. It could have been cleaner: for example, the floor hadn’t been mopped. Breakfast was very simple. It was fine for one night, but I wouldn’t necessarily return.
