The food was excellent, and the castle itself is lovely. We were a group of friends, and everyone felt the hostess treated new arrivals equally. She’s very much herself, with no putting on airs, and we think some poor reviews may come from guests being surprised by that. She was also wonderfully flexible: she drove us to a wedding 18 km away, and when an extra person arrived, she set up a free extra bed. There were drinks waiting in the fridge, and we had a nice chat with her in the garden as soon as we arrived. She kindly brings shy guests into the conversation with everyone else, if they’re open to talking. We’ve stayed in plenty of places, but this one is a real gem. Thanks to this unusual, genuinely hospitable lady, it’s the kind of stay that sticks in your mind. We had a 100% good time and will definitely come back. Best wishes, MAFF apartments The Hague

Phippe, on the show "Bienvenue chez-nous!" you treated Sylvie and Valérie with real contempt, giving them only 25€ for the room. That showed an unusual level of meanness. The way you behaved was vulgar, vile, and rude. If there were a "Bienvenue chez-nous" in Quebec, I would never invite you on it. Marcel Allard Montréal, Québec

Congratulations to the winners of the game. After the show, I’m glad this place lost, because it still has work to do before it’s acceptable. The price is far too high for what’s on offer, and the establishment seems out of step with the owner’s dream. The owner also came across as very unpleasant and unfriendly.

I wouldn't go there. They claim they did all the work themselves, but that isn't true, the previous owners did it. Some friends of mine have also paid the price for trusting these people. My rating is 00000000000000000.

The park is beautiful, and there's a swimming pool. It’s a charming, pleasant place, with a friendly, warm welcome and excellent service. Highly recommended!
