Ramatuelle Village Vacances

In June the village is nice and quiet, though I wouldn’t want to be here in July. Cottage 307 was a bit dark, the furniture could be better, and the thin walls mean you hear everyone else in the same building. As a tourist without mobile roaming data, I’d have liked WiFi to cover a larger area, at least the restaurant, bar, and pool. This 3-star resort has Provencal colors and sits in peaceful vineyards and pine forests. The rooms and rental apartments are in Provençal hamlets among pines and oleanders, and all have terraces. There’s a bar, restaurants, children’s club, sports fields, a lovely pool with white parasols, and a large air-conditioned amphitheater for shows. Pampelonne beach is about 300 m away by a shaded path. The resort is in a protected, quiet natural area in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Ramatuelle is a medieval village on a rocky hill above the Gulf, with cork oaks, umbrella pines, and vineyards to wander through. Children’s club (ages 3-12) and teenagers’ animos (ages 17-17) run during spring and summer school holidays, from 07/07 to 31/08/2019. To enjoy the area fully, it’s best to have a car.

We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. It’s a five-minute walk to Pampelonne beach, and there are buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner three times a day. Activities include archery and theatre, plus several tennis courts and basketball and netball courts. The bungalows have everything you need: cutlery and cooking utensils, a fridge/freezer, cooker and microwave, coffee machine, and plenty of storage. The staff were friendly, patient, and really helpful with our limited French. Most of the staff we met spoke very good English.

The beach is about 300m away, and there’s a pool and other sports facilities on site. The hotel complex is nicely built on a gentle hill, with studios available to rent too. The place feels a bit old and could use some maintenance.
