The homemade brioche at breakfast was especially delicious, and there was plenty of variety too. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the place has a lovely, peaceful feel. I only wish I’d stayed longer than two nights. The hostel experience is really respected here, and I’d happily recommend it.

The walks starting from the inn were lovely, and the location itself is quiet with a beautiful view. We chose the package that included donkey rental. We got everything listed, though the quality felt just adequate, and the price seemed a little high for what was provided. The welcome also felt uncomfortable at times, with less of the personal contact we’d expected for a stay where children were getting to know donkeys. There’s a lovely games room for young and old. The owners didn’t mention it on their own, but we found it and made good use of it.

We’ll definitely come back. The owners were so friendly and helpful, and we could park our motorcycles in the garage. The hotel is lovely, with delicious food from an excellent chef and a fresh, tasty breakfast. It’s right in the mountains, with a fantastic view. Absolutely recommend it. The owners gave us such a warm welcome, and their dog, Scot, was charming too. We’d come looking for somewhere peaceful with a garage so we could explore the Vosges mountains by motorcycle, and the inn’s location was ideal. The rooms are a little dated, but they were spotlessly clean, which suited the place’s authentic charm. I highly recommend it!

We couldn’t even get close enough to judge the rest. The hostess was unpleasant and aggressive, kicking us out of her parking spot before we’d had a chance to turn off the engine. We’d planned to take the short, pleasant hike and eat at the restaurant afterward, but there was no way to talk to her. She said a group was arriving, so apparently there was no chance of eating or parking there. She wasn’t friendly, didn’t smile, and clearly didn’t like hikers. When we came back, though, there was no group in sight.
