Le Tilleul de Ray

The homemade breakfast had loads to choose from, including yogurt, cheeses, croissants, pain au chocolat, bread, jams, apple juice, hot chocolate, and tea or coffee. The hot chocolate was delicious, and the wi-fi worked great. Our rooms were spotless, very spacious, and well suited to families. Stephanie made us feel welcome quickly and was a lovely host. It’s remote, but peaceful, with fields and activities nearby. There’s also a big garden with chickens, toys for kids, and a pool. We’d come back if we can. Lovely to meet you, Stephanie!

We’ve already booked another stay. The garden was a lovely place to unwind, and we could use a small kitchen as well as a really comfortable sitting room. Stéphanie was such a lovely owner. Our room was roomy and spotless, with a pretty view of the garden and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. Absolutely beautiful place, highly recommend.

The village is short on options, with just one restaurant, which is closed on Monday evenings, and very few other shops. Bring food if you’re planning to cook, or arrange a meal with Stéphanie from Le Tilleul in advance, ideally at least a day before. The place itself was probably my nicest stay in France so far, with a warm welcome, very nice rooms, and a surprisingly low price. It’s an old building that’s been renovated really well and feels modern. There’s also a guest kitchen, a large lounge, and an excellent breakfast.

At Le Tilleul de Ray, I enjoyed having access to the shared kitchen and living room, where I could relax and chat with other guests. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with its own bathroom and a flat-screen TV. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and Stéphanie was welcoming and helpful. She’d even booked dinner reservations for us before we arrived. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade jams and cakes. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit again one day. I’d highly recommend it for a relaxing, authentic stay in the countryside.
