The dinner was a lovely surprise. We came across the restaurant by chance and had no idea what to expect, but the people were warm and the meal was wonderful. I’d go back for sure. The village itself feels magical, with a beautiful valley view, castle ruins beside the restaurant, and a simple little church that’s well worth seeing. I wish I could live there.

Paul was such a friendly, welcoming host, and the rooms are lovely. The restaurant and bar are unfortunately closed because the chef passed away, so you’ll need to eat elsewhere. I’d suggest “La Tentation” @ Chabrerieux, 26570 Montbrun-les-Bains.
