Appart'City Classic Reims Parc des Expositions

Getting the key was easy even though we arrived late. They emailed us a code for the locker system, and check-in went smoothly. The room, sadly, wasn’t clean. There was a bad smell, a damp-feeling bathroom, a shower that drained so slowly it overflowed, and a bug among the towels. Breakfast was disappointing and didn’t seem worth the extra money. The friendly woman working at breakfast is the only reason I’m not giving one star. She worked hard and clearly tried to make guests feel welcome.

The room was peaceful, the beds were comfortable, and we were glad to have the little kitchenette. It was well equipped, too. Breakfast was nice, especially the freshly baked croissants, and the motorway is easy to reach from here. Staff were friendly and helpful, always serving with a genuine smile.

The rooms are spacious, and Wendy at the Reception is the reason this gets five stars from me. She’s so kind and goes out of her way to make guests happy. You can tell she cares about this, rather than just doing a job. My wife and I have worked in top positions in hotels and restaurants for over 20 years, so we know good service when we see it. Good job, Wendy, and thanks so much! The room wasn’t perfectly clean, and breakfast wasn’t the best. To management: give her the workshops, support, and good position she wants or needs. Someone like her is hard to find, and I hope you keep her as long as you can.

The rooms were good, and the hygiene and bathroom were okay, so it’s a decent place to stay. At reception, though, the staff seemed to stay behind their screens. A friendly hello should be the least they can do. We skipped breakfast and would suggest going into the city for it.
