Ms Salema was the standout for us. When our dog got frightened in the elevator after we were given a fourth-floor room, she quickly moved us to the first floor so we could take the stairs. She was professional and flexible throughout, checked information carefully, and gave us directions. The hotel itself is charming and right in central Reims. The rooms are compact but had what we needed, including French balconies and comfortable beds. Breakfast is available by choice and can be eaten in the pleasant little garden.

For the price, this works very well for my regular overnight stops between the UK and further south. I've stayed many times over the years and have always found a room when needed at a good rate. It's not a five-star place, but it suits what I need. Getting here from the A26 is straightforward, and there's a large underground car park beside the hotel, staffed all night, which reassures me when my car is packed with holiday gear. There are plenty of restaurants nearby for an easy meal after checking in. The rooms have been clean and quiet.

The big catch is the sound carrying through the thin walls. You can hear a neighbor cough or flush the toilet next door. Still, for a clean, basic, affordable place near the train station, it does the job. It’s a convenient base if keeping costs down and being well located matter most, especially for a short stay.
