Golden Tulip Reims L'univers

I stayed here on 10-8-22. It’s been a while, but I remember the rooftop view and relaxation scoring 8/10, and the location for walking to restaurants, shops, the center and beach also getting 8/10. Room comfort and value for money were both 7/10. Service and hospitality got 6/10, and my room view was 4/10. For motorcycle parking, there’s a place around the corner, just a short walk away. It can get crowded. I’d leave my bike anywhere and don’t have special demands, so I rated that 4/10.

The staff were friendly and the room was clean, but there’s no hotel parking and they didn’t try to help us find any. Breakfast was awful: the serving area was dirty, the choices were poor, and most things tasted stale. Even the yogurt was bad. Save your money and go somewhere else.

On the afternoon of my reservation, the hotel called to say there’d been flooding in the room I booked and they’d booked me into another hotel. They said I could negotiate with the other hotel or Booking if I didn’t like it, but offered no compensation. They assured me it would be the same quality. I don’t know what happened to the room, but the replacement definitely wasn’t worth the money, and I wouldn’t have booked it myself. Not recommended.

The location was perfect, close to lots of restaurants and bars, as well as the cathedral. The hotel was clean, the staff were nice, and the standard was good. We really liked the rooftop bar. 👌🏻
