THE BAD There was no AC in the unit we stayed in, and it was extremely hot during our visit. Other units have AC, but ours didn't. We booked through Booking.com, so others may have a different experience, and you might not run into the same confusion about which unit you're getting. The place offers AC as a filter, but the room selection didn't tell us our unit lacked it. That only became clear in the individual room details. There was a fan, so we thought we'd be okay, but late at night we found it was broken. It wouldn't oscillate, and the blades rubbed against the metal cover and made a loud noise. We opened the windows, but there was no breeze. We also came back to find water all over the living room floor, just in the middle of the room. The owner said the jacuzzi upstairs hadn't been used properly, and he was right. Water had leaked from upstairs through a recessed light. Having someone's bath water on the floor was pretty gross. The owner felt bad, apologized, brought us a bottle of champagne, and took the broken fan away, saying he'd replace it. THE GOOD The location is good, and it's clear the owner cares and is trying to make guests' stays nice. Still, we'll look for somewhere else next time.

The top-floor loft's “jacuzzi” was a bubble bath, and water spills from it so readily that the floor is never dry. We booked a bottle of Reims champagne with the loft for 50, but it was forgotten, and we received a 6-euro Aldi cava instead. The pictures are misleading. The whole place and business plan gave us the impression it was about making quick money with as little effort as possible. Worst idea ever.

The key system was convenient, and the jacuzzi was great.

The apartment was beautiful and made a very cozy spot for a romantic evening. The coffee was only available in the morning, though, because there weren't enough capsules for the evening. There was just one tea bag too.

The price doesn't match the quality of the accommodation. There are no public transport connections, and with no longer any dining options on site, getting food is inconvenient. The bedroom can't be darkened. It opens onto the living room, where the skylights can't be closed without a stepladder. The bed is comfortable but pushed against the wall, and the low eaves make it impossible to walk around it. The sink faucet doesn't work properly, the bin holder is broken, and the dishes were dirty. The right-hand sink was clogged, and there's a missing tile leaving a hole in front of the shower.
