The receptionists were very gentle and welcoming, and the hotel is in a lovely, quiet town. Breakfast was good, as it is at all the ibis hotels, and there are plenty of free parking spaces around the property. The hotel itself is old, and the rooms are old too. There was a smell in the hallway and in the toilets, which wasn’t what I expected from this respected chain. I hope the management will take these comments into consideration and review things.

The accommodation is basic, in keeping with the Ibis Budget chain, but it’s clean and feels safe. The hotel is centrally located, with a large free parking area, and the staff are nice. Breakfast was good, though the Wi-Fi signal was quite weak.

The hotel itself is fine, and the automatic check-in with a pin pad was interesting. But there was no information at all about the route, which was a big thumbs down. With D417 and D466 under construction that evening, a drive that should have taken three minutes from the highway to the hotel turned into twenty minutes around town.

My room was noisy, and I could hear other guests through the wall. Still, they welcomed me well even though I’d made a booking mistake. Ibis budget Remiremont has good options for Covid restrictions, including room service, dinner, and breakfast.

It’s a reliable standard Ibis, though not the cheapest hotel. The property has parking enclosed by a fence, next to a commercial center, and the town is quiet, just off the motorway. A good base for bikers touring the nearby Ballons des Vosges national park.
