The spa was a real highlight for me. It was peaceful and well kept, just right for unwinding after a long day. My room was comfortable, nicely decorated, and had high-quality bedding. Breakfast was tasty and offered plenty of fresh choices. The lobby and shared spaces were spotless and calm, and the modern design had warm touches that made it inviting. Some rooms may feel a little compact for the price, especially for a stay longer than a night or two. It wasn't a major problem, just something to bear in mind. Staff were attentive and professional, and handled things smoothly while still being friendly. I felt well looked after without anyone hovering. Balthazar Hotel and Spa is a refined, relaxing place in Rennes, and I’d recommend it to anyone after comfort and elegance. It was a reliable, memorable stay.

The apartments are separate from the main hotel, so it can feel like some of the hotel's amenities aren't part of your stay. That could be a plus if you want the feeling of living there. The rooms were very clean and well appointed, and the location is fantastic, with everything a few minutes' walk away. I only needed an Uber to the train station because of the luggage.

We had to cancel the first day at short notice, and the staff handled it very professionally. Before we arrived, Jade gave us helpful advice and tips for Rennes and the surrounding area. From booking until the day we had to leave, the whole experience was pleasant and professional. The hotel is small, stylish, and comfortable, with beautiful design. Our room was lovely, delicate, and practical. We were warmly welcomed into the beautiful hotel, and the service was brilliant. We’d be happy to return.

The shower was a disaster: it’s open with no barrier, so the whole bathroom ended up soaked. The pillows were terrible and offered no support, but the bed itself was comfortable. The room was a good size and quiet, and the location was great, about 15 minutes on foot from the Rennes train station. Complimentary water and soda were provided.

It’s always a pleasant stay here. The rooms are clean, the spa is relaxing, and the lobby is peaceful and nicely designed. The staff are very nice too. The only thing I’d change is making the gym a bit more upscale.
