The staff weren't all the same, but some were genuinely friendly and helpful. The location was good too, and the PR photos make the place look nice. Still, I wouldn't stay again. We spent two weeks cycling and used two rooms, both small, windowless, and dated, with ageing decor and shower rooms. Even in mid-May they got really hot, making sleep difficult, and the provided humidifier left an odd smell. We'd asked before arriving if there was bike storage and were told yes. In practice, the space was down an alley, up steps into the laundry room, with very low ceilings. I'd spend a bit more and stay somewhere else.

Rachel at reception made a real difference. She was warm, hospitable, and keen to make everything easy and comfortable for us. Our ground-floor family room was spacious and comfortable, and we liked being able to make a hot drink any time in the little shared dining area. The hotel is well kept and handy for both Rennes historic center and the train station. We had a lovely stay and will come back next time we're in Rennes.

Breakfast every morning was a perfect start, and the staff were so helpful. It's a lovely little hotel in a great spot. I'll definitely be back!

The room was cramped and not very clean, especially the really dirty shower. The towels had a musty smell, the sink wouldn't drain, and the bathroom smelled unpleasantly of sewage. The heater barely worked because there was air in it. Breakfast was only okay, with very few choices. The staff were friendly and the Rennes location is good. That's about where the positives end. I've stayed in worse places, but not in Europe.

Breakfast was top-notch, and the room was spotless. The facilities feel very modern, and the bathroom was well equipped. I'd absolutely recommend staying here!
