We used the hotel as a base for driving around the area during part of the week of October 12-18, 2025. My wife and I chose it because it was a cheap, dependable option, after seeing travel YouTubers stay at other Ibis properties. We were pleasantly surprised, and would probably use the brand again, including this one if we return. The staff were the real highlight, especially the desk team. They were super friendly and helpful, and very patient with my limited French. Breakfast was included each day, a typical continental buffet but good quality and a solid start. It was near enough to the city center to get there quickly by car, while being far enough out to head into the countryside in the morning without fighting traffic. There were restaurants and a few shopping options within walking distance. The place was inexpensive and clean, and our floor was quiet at night. Our room was small, like a college dorm, but had the essentials: bed, bathroom, TV, and outlets. We chose it as somewhere to sleep between outings, not as a destination in itself. The AC was there, but fixed at 19C, and we’d have preferred it cooler for sleeping. The bed was basic and firm. Only real downside was the bakery next door. The smell of fresh baking woke us up early and hungry every morning.

A good, affordable, clean hotel, especially handy if you’re travelling toward France’s west coast. It’s about 2hrs from roscoff. Breakfast was good, and there’s a secure car park behind gates. The receptionist working at midnight was very friendly. Hopefully I’ll stay here a lot more.

The location worked perfectly for my trip, and Rue Marbeuf is relatively close, about a 10 min walk. I was glad to find a modern, accommodating IBIS Budget, and the receptionist was really nice.

We’ve stayed in lots of budget hotels, and this was one of our best. The hotel was very clean, the small rooms were comfortable, and the staff were professional and welcoming. It was also the first time we’d ever found BBC1 on the TV. We couldn’t find any restaurants nearby, as the area seemed like a building site, so we ended up at Burger King. In the morning we noticed restaurant details on reception that would have got us a discount. Shame we didn’t know earlier, but maybe next time!

On our return in 2025, it was still good value, but I found a cockroach in my first room, which was odd given how clean everything else was. They moved me, and the second room was fine. At times it was a bit noisy because of poor soundproofing and loud college kids. On our earlier stay, we had a good time. The hotel was modern and nice, the rooms were clean, and I slept well thanks to the electric shutter and large curtain that blocked out all the light. The staff were friendly too. We’d come back.
