Finding the entrance takes a bit of effort, it's tucked away inside past a hairdressers, but then you find a delightful, quirky little hotel. Our room, George, was clean and traditional, though honestly a little small. Breakfast was lovely, served in an old timbered lounge by someone with the biggest smile.

Such a treat to stay in the Marnie room. We loved the space and the decor, and the hostess was really friendly. She speaks English, which we needed, and the place is right in the middle of the old town. Too bad we only had one night.

I loved sitting and reading in the courtyard, and breakfast the next morning was amazing, especially the apple cake. We stayed in the Oscar suite at Marnie & Mister H, and the owner was so friendly and helpful. It's a unique building right downtown, with shops and dinner within walking distance. We had an outstanding evening in town. Wish we'd had more time there.

The owner was lovely and looked after us, sharing advice on places to visit and upgrading our room. Breakfast was great too. The house is a characterful 15th century place right in the centre of Rennes.

The creaky floors make sense in this 16th century property, and to me they add to its charm. Our friend in Rennes says the street is the most beautiful in the city. Marion, the owner, made us feel like family. We were in the spacious Marnie suite beside the second-floor family room and breakfast nook. It had the most comfortable bed we slept in during our week in France. We only had one night here and wished we could've stayed longer. Wonderful place, highly recommend it.
