Le Clos Xavianne

The rooms are beautiful and spotless, and breakfast really fills you up. The homemade jam is lovely, too. We've stayed here several times, and Xavier always does his best to speak English with us since our French is almost nonexistent. We hope to come back soon. Andrew and Jacki.

Breakfast was worth getting up for: croissants, very fresh bread, coffee, juice, and homemade jams. Xavier was friendly and helpful, and his English is better than my French, so we got along fine. Our family room worked perfectly, especially with a separate spot for our son to sleep, and the shower was just what we needed after six nights in the campervan. The village has two British war cemeteries from the Battle of Cambrai. My son and I picked wild poppies by the roadside as we walked to the cemetery on the south side. We loved this B&B and its lovely owner. If we're passing through again, we'd stop on our first or last night in France. This time we were hurrying home, so it was a shame we couldn't stay longer.

We've been staying here for years when travelling to or from the Black Forest. Xavier is an excellent host. The farm B&B is just outside Cambrai, with secure parking and easy access to both the A26 and the town centre. Our room had a lovely vaulted ceiling, and breakfast was excellent. The Tank Memorial, where the first tank attack took place, is only a couple of minutes away.

We had a quiet, relaxing three-night stay in the countryside at Le Clos Xavianne. Xavianne gave us a warm welcome and was happy to share the history and culture of the farm and area. He also suggested places to eat in nearby Cambrai, which we appreciated. Breakfast came with delicious fresh jams bottled on site. My wife and I would stay here again.
