La Caldamente

The welcome from Martine and her husband was lovely. They were attentive, discreet, and very pleasant. Our room was spacious, more like a small apartment, with magnificent, tasteful decor, though perhaps a little too much for my taste. Breakfast was generous and nicely presented, with a coffee machine and pods, a kettle, tea, a small fridge, fresh water, and more. We couldn’t use the pool because of the thunderstorms, but I highly recommend the place.

We had a wonderful stay at La Caldamente. The owners were attentive, and the place was welcoming, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the evening meals were superb. We highly recommend it. JClaude and Elisabeth, near Bordeaux.

Martine and Paul-Henri made us feel very welcome and were charming, attentive hosts. The décor shows their excellent taste, and the room was very comfortable, with a very good bed. Martine’s cooking stood out at both breakfast and dinner, using delicious organic ingredients. Many thanks to them for a really pleasant stay. Francis and Annie

I absolutely loved this “room”! It’s really spacious, with two rooms, and the vintage decor is charming. There’s even a backgammon set tucked under the chessboard. The hostess was lovely and made us feel warmly welcomed, and breakfast was superb. One small frustration: the big bedroom window doesn’t open, so we used the bathroom window instead. The air conditioning helped. I did spot a few cobwebs behind the curtains, though I imagine it’s hard to keep such a beautiful place perfectly maintained.
