Résidence Odalys Le Hameau du Lac

The area was a real highlight, with a lake, walking trails, and lovely castles such as Belcastel nearby. Rodez is also within easy reach. There’s a small parking lot a few minutes away, which helps keep the village peaceful, and we enjoyed a Saturday afternoon aperitif with local products. The manager and her team were friendly. We picked this Odalys village for family reasons, and it was our first trip with them. It’s a pleasant little place in Rignac, close enough to walk into the village. The pool is small but well looked after. Our apartment was practical and suited two adults, with a separate bedroom and a 140 cm double bed. I have back problems, but found the mattress comfortable. The decor felt a little dated, though I expect some updates may happen. I thought the price was fair. More amenities would mean paying more.

I couldn't sleep in the bunk-bed area because it was right next to the smart meter, so I switched to the sofa bed. That was my only complaint. The apartment itself was spacious and practical, in a very quiet residence beside a lake, with parking outside that helps keep things peaceful indoors. The staff were warm and smiling, and gave us useful advice. Otherwise, I have nothing to complain about. I recommend the place.

The room cleaning was the one issue: the previous guest hadn't left it properly cleaned. We found several cobwebs, spiders, and even dead wasps. Everything else was great. The facilities were fantastic, especially the big pool and the equipment for children. The staff were lovely and always willing to help. They kept trying to understand us, and even called over a Spanish-speaking employee. Special thanks to Santiago!

We stayed for the Ascension weekend, and the manager made us feel very welcome. She was energetic, attentive, available, and had a good sense of humor. She also agreed to our request. The setting is quiet and pleasant for relaxing, with a park and nice walks nearby. Our apartment was simple but comfortable, and had a terrace. The pool was very clean, and the parasols could be opened or closed as we wanted.
