The front desk staff were lovely and helpful, even with our lack of French, and the enclosed parking was a plus. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and an orthopedic pillow, though it felt small and dark. We stopped here while driving through France. There's a good pizzeria nearby, since the hotel restaurant was closed during our stay. Our main issue was the smoke smell in the room. We were directly above the hotel entrance smoking area, and closing the window didn't help. We had room 115, so I'd avoid rooms above that spot.

At 11 pm, I asked for a two-bed room because I was travelling with someone else. The staff said they had none, even though Hotels.com showed one available. They said those rooms were kept for families, which seemed odd at that hour. I found the staff plainly rude and unhelpful. It felt like I was being treated badly just for being a customer.

After hours on the road, the rooms and service were exactly what I needed. I'd keep this place in mind for my next trip.

The hotel and parking were good, and its position near our onward route made it a handy stop. The room's dark, cave-like decor really bothered me; it could feel so much better with a change. You can get hot water for tea from the coffee machine, but using a kettle would be easier. The restaurant menu was limited, so we drove a few minutes into Riom for a lovely meal at BHV 2.0. The food there was delicious.

For our one-night stay, we had a roomy triple room and slept very comfortably. Breakfast was good too, and we were really happy with the hotel. Angelo next door has excellent pizzas. Book a table if you can, they're worth it.
