In this typical Alsatian house dating from 1638, the apartment has been renovated beautifully. It was spotless, peaceful, tastefully furnished, and had everything we needed. We stayed for three nights, and Sylvie was so kind, sharing excellent tips for our visit and sightseeing. I highly recommend it.

The welcome was warm, and the cottage was well equipped and insulated, so you barely hear the many people passing by. It’s a beautiful place, ideally located for exploring the city, and parking can be reserved. A must-see.

Our stay was in December 2019, but we had to cancel because SNCF cancelled the train during the major strikes and offered no alternatives. We’d warned the owner that this could happen right up to the last minute. She still wouldn’t refund our deposit and suggested rescheduling for this year instead. With Covid, we don’t want to travel this year, as masked festivities would likely be unpleasant and could even be dangerous. Despite all of that, she categorically refused to return the deposit. Her empathy toward guests seems inconsistent.

The Romance apartment is right in the heart of Riquewihr, making it ideal for a trip with friends. It was clean and functional, with nothing to complain about. The owner was wonderful, kind, helpful, and full of good advice. We had a very pleasant stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Sylvie, the manager, was incredibly attentive, and the place had every comfort we needed, plus more. The location was superb.
