There are several restaurants and bars, a small supermarket, and a Boulangerie within a 10 minute walk. We hired bikes at reception, which was convenient and good value. It’s a great base for touring Ile de Ré, with a mix of modern apartments with balconies. Ours was a one bedroom studio, with a good kitchen and a separate bathroom with a shower. The room was clean, and the pool was pleasant and very clean, though cold. The balcony hadn’t been cleaned, and there were food wrappers on the floor. Some of the listed items were missing.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything looked new and well maintained. But booking the two person studio was a mistake for us: it was cramped, we slept on a sofa bed, and the balcony felt boxed in by the roof and walls. The four person apartments seemed nicer, so I’d make sure to book one of those.

A handy base in a great location. I was travelling alone on my motorbike, but I’d say it’s good for families too.
