The room stayed clean throughout my visit, and Le close des pins is a lovely spot to get away from everyday stress. It’s tucked among pine trees near the beach, where you can surf or just enjoy the sun. I had a great time taking my first surfing lessons with my host Theo, a charismatic young guy and professional surfer. After surfing, I could cycle the island’s fantastic trails, visit local restaurants, or go birdwatching. Getting there is easy from anywhere. Coming from London, as I did, it’s handy to take a flight to La Rochelle, the closest airport, then it’s a 10 minute ride to the residence. I had a fantastic stay and great surf lessons. Thank you, Theo, for the warm hospitality and for guiding me through my first surfing tubes.

It’s our fourth year spending a week at Le Clos des Pins, and it never disappoints. The accommodation is great and well located, with very quiet nights. Rivedoux Plage, with its many shops and restaurants, is only a 5 minute bike ride away. We’ll be back next year!

We had a wonderful family holiday at Résidence Le Clos des Pins in Rivedoux-Plage and would happily return. The villas on Île de Ré are in a quiet area, with a charming little beach just down the street. Practical touches made things easy: there’s a free charging station for an electric car, and you can rent a bike trailer for your son right there.

We rented bikes on site and explored the cycle paths, with an especially striking view of the bridge as we arrived. The residence has parking, so we could leave the car there. The Résidence Le Clos des Pins in Rivedoux-Plage sits in a peaceful, wooded neighbourhood where you can have lunch listening to birds. We loved the island’s quiet autumn atmosphere, and it made for a perfect seasonal stay with friends on Île de Ré.

The calm setting made this a lovely spot for a few days with family or as a couple. We appreciated the warm atmosphere and the amenities provided. The little house was comfortable, clean, and well furnished, and it quickly felt like home. The pool was a real bonus for relaxing. I’d gladly recommend the place.
