Novotel Perpignan Nord Rivesaltes

The mattress was comfortable, and breakfast was OK, but I regret booking this place and wouldn’t return. The room smelled of mould, the shower room had no ventilation, and the carpet felt like felt laid over bare concrete. The hotel was partly under construction, and even the signs pointing to guest rooms didn’t list our room number. On Sunday at 7:30 AM, the shower had run out of hot water and the pressure was low. The raised shower pan left my head nearly touching the ceiling. For anyone arriving by satnav, if you end up in an industrial parking area, continue until you reach the rotunda and the “Novotel” entrance. Novotel and Ibis are in the same hotel. Even at the very low price, it wasn’t worth it. I think it might do in an emergency, though.

The staff were very welcoming, the restaurant food was good, and dogs are welcome. Still, this stay fell well below the average we’ve had at Novotel over many visits. The pool was under construction, despite the website and other information showing it as a lovely facility. Rooms felt outdated, and breakfast had few options, with no fresh coffee, just a low-end machine.

The reception staff weren’t welcoming, which felt unprofessional for an Accor chain hotel, and we were disappointed by the service. The hotel itself was a bit outdated, though our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The pool was very clean, breakfast was nice, and the canteen staff were pleasant.

There’s secure parking inside the novotel, and the hotel is close to the Mall shopping center, not far from Narborn and perpignan. It was clean and quiet, with friendly people around and beautiful surroundings.
