Camping Padimadour

We spent four fabulous nights at Padimadour in our motorhome. The family owners were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Sylvan and his mother work hard to keep the place beautiful and well cared for. There are lots to see nearby, and the quiet lanes are lovely for cycling, especially towards Rocamadour. The indoor and outdoor pools are gorgeous, the sanitary facilities excellent, and there's a small shop plus a really nice bar with food. We'll definitely come back.

The grounds have a nice layout and are well kept, with details like flower beds getting plenty of attention. Staff were very friendly, and everything was very clean, but some basics let us down. In April, when it was 4 degrees outside, I would have preferred a warm shower in a heated building to a heated covered pool area. Several shaving lights by the mirrors I tried weren't working. It felt like the smaller details were covered while a few basic needs had been overlooked.

We found the campsite perfect for us, so we added a night and could have stayed longer if work hadn't called. The countryside is lovely, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and once the balloon festival was over, the site was very quiet. Sylvain showed us farm tracks to cycle to Rocamadour, which worked perfectly. We'd booked at the last minute because everywhere was full during the festival weekend. Sylvain took the booking by phone and we asked for a quiet corner away from things. On arrival we got a huge, shady pitch. It's not a large camper site, which suited us, and the indoor and outdoor pools, toilets, and showers were all very clean. Highly recommend ❤️

We ended up loving the area just as much as the Sarlat side we visited five years ago, and didn't really want to leave. There's plenty to do within an hour's drive. The campsite is a good choice if you're after somewhere smaller and quieter in the dordogne to relax. We spent two weeks here. It had everything we needed, with a nice pool and shower blocks, good sized pitches, lovely staff, and good evening entertainment. It's a great location and not too big. Ask for a shady pitch if you can, it was super hot. The shop is very basic, but the large supermarket in Gramat is about an eight minute drive, so that wasn't a problem. We were the only English people there, which actually made it feel like a proper holiday abroad.
