Hôtel Le Lagon

We only stayed one night, and the beds were okay for that. The people who helped us find a room were kind, there was plenty of parking, and the pool looked nice, though we didn’t use it. But the bathroom was in bad shape. The walls were filthy, the light fixture didn’t work, and there was nowhere to hang the showerhead. We found used, dirty cups with toothpaste in the bathroom, and the curtains had a lot of mold on them. I don’t even want to know what was on the toilet room wall. It’s a two-star hotel, so I wasn’t expecting much, but this was still disappointing.

The room conditions were awful: cockroaches, mold, dirty sheets, broken furniture, and rust. Disgusting. For your health and safety, stay away. The photos online on Booking showed something completely different from reality. At reception, they charged us for taxes that were already included. When we asked for the money back, nobody was at reception, and they refused to refund us. They then told Booking they had returned it, which wasn’t true. Real scammers. The comments saying the place is clean are obviously fake. Look at the pictures.

We arrived after 13 hours of driving, but there was no room for us, even though we had made a reservation. We had to go find another hotel.

We didn’t use the room and booked somewhere else because of the hygiene and lack of maintenance. This felt more like a motel than a hotel. The parking area was chaotic, the sloped stairs to the room were awkward, the doors were scratched, and parts were missing from the bathroom, leaving holes in the floor. The toilet seat and air filters looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in years. It felt like a great place to catch Covid19. I’d paid in advance and asked for a refund, but it was denied. Reception was closed, so I left the keys at the door.
