Le Charleston Hotel

The price was reasonable, and breakfast was plentiful. The room was clean and the bedding very comfortable, though I didn't like the pillows. The water was warm and had good pressure. The location is excellent, on the edge of town.

One star because zero isn't an option. We booked a room for four in February and got confirmation by email, but on arrival the reception manager had no idea what had happened and said there was no room reserved in our name. We were left stranded with two children. Our calls asking for help finding somewhere to stay went unanswered, so we had to sort it out ourselves and book a room 45 km away. The manager seemed completely lost. What made it worse was that the situation didn't seem to bother him much; he just wondered what we were going to do since there were no rooms available nearby. A complete lack of professionalism and seriousness.

Breakfast costs €6.50 and comes with pastries, baguette, yogurt, compote, butter and jam, orange juice, and a hot drink. The room was clean and quiet, with good Wi-Fi and good value for money. It's a five-minute walk from the Cathedral. The only drawback was that the shower was a little small.

We booked two clean, functional rooms for a very satisfactory night in central Rodez. The digital code made late entry easy, and the manager was pleasant and straightforward. We recommend it!
