The metro is about a relaxed 10-minute walk away, with supermarkets and a couple of good restaurants nearby. The air conditioning worked well, and I liked being able to open the window for fresh air. Our room, bathroom and toilet were clean, and the cleaning and breakfast staff were pleasant. Reception staff generally didn't greet us when we came or went, though. At night we could hear a neighbor's speaker connecting to Bluetooth, so the walls don't seem to block sound well. A couple of bulbs in our room didn't work, but the other lights were enough. The hallway light just outside kept flickering. Breakfast had a good variety, though I would've liked more vegetables, like sliced tomatoes or cucumbers, and more fruit. It was a good place overall. I had to keep going from the third floor down to reception for a glass of water because there was no complimentary water in the room. Staff said the hotel was trying to “cut costs to be more efficient.” That didn't feel acceptable for a hotel. And during checkout, still within the permitted time, my key card had already been deactivated, so I had to walk back to reception to get into my room. Breakfast was listed as included, but when items ran out, staff waited for guests to leave before replacing them. It felt like the hotel was only doing the bare minimum. The walk from the station was unpleasant too, with garbage scattered around, which I didn't expect from a reputed brand like Ibis. The hotel itself was just about okay. We aren't here to eat dry bread and trek down three floors for water. I hope Ibis takes this seriously, because this property didn't meet even basic expectations.

The location near the subway was excellent, and the beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly too. Breakfast was the one letdown: mostly cheese and cold cuts, with no vegetables at all. A few fresh vegetables would make it feel much more balanced.

Really nice staff, and the rooms were super clean. The only problem was a sewage smell that kept coming up from the sink and shower drain.
