ibis budget Romorantin

The room was great for the price, and the car park was amazing. The location was perfect too. Hard to ask for more.

We arrived very late, so the easy check-in was a real plus, and the desk staff in the morning were lovely. The room was basic and spartan, as you'd expect from a typical ibis budget, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. It's handy for the main road and only a short way from the motorway. Breakfast was standard continental fare, but everything seemed fresh, which was good. It did exactly what we needed.

We couldn't sleep because of the road noise and the children screaming next door. The room was only OK, and nowhere near as good as the ibis in calais near the port. There weren't any spare pillows either. I selected the members rate because I'm a member, but the breakfast for two should have brought the total to around 56 euros. Instead, the amount showed as a little over 62 pounds. I also flagged a problem with the invoice when we arrived. The staff member said it was sorted, but the amount was still slightly higher than on the rip-off invoice. I've never had trouble before, but I'll use a different company next time.

The room was clean, the air conditioning worked really well, and for an Ibis it was very nice. In our room there wasn't a separate shower, so you could see the other person showering. I'd recommend it otherwise, but the check-in hours were confusing enough to cost it a star. Booking.com showed it under a 24-hour filter, yet the booking page and confirmation email said 23:00. We got there at 23:30. The gate was shut, but we could walk in and get a number key to open the car gate. Haha, I still don't know whether you're officially meant to arrive before 23:00.
