We had a really pleasant weekend. The area is lovely, though it’s especially suited to people who like hiking and sports. J. was lovely and gave us great advice, and the place itself was clean and bright, with a nice view and a pleasant little outdoor spot to sit in the evening. The accommodation was perfectly adequate and fairly priced, but getting around would be difficult for anyone with a disability: there are two flights of stairs, steps at the entrance, and the village sits on a slope that’s hard to reach by car. We were also short on towels, with just two small face towels and two large ones for four adults. Breakfast could use a lot of work, even if that meant charging more. For €5 we got a chocolate croissant, tea or coffee, and a glass of apple or orange juice. At a bed and breakfast, I’d expect bread, butter, plenty of jam and cheese, or maybe a proper breakfast that made use of our host’s English heritage. Recommended if you enjoy outdoor activities.
