Caravaning des Pêcheurs

The large pitches felt fairly private thanks to the surrounding nature, and the location between Nice and Saint-Tropez worked well. I also liked the modern, high-quality equipment in the fitness room, though in 35 celsius the lack of air conditioning was a real problem. At night, nobody seemed to care about noise. We saw young people walking around at 01:00 AM with Bluetooth speakers and yelling to each other. That's unacceptable at a campsite. Given the price and services, I wouldn't recommend it. The sanitary facilities need more frequent cleaning, and nights need to be quieter.

What ruined the stay for us was the weekly pool party, which went on until 22:30. The music was nightclub loud, enough to make our toothbrushes bounce in their glasses inside the tent. The nearby road was a little noisy too, but that alone wouldn't have put us off. There were also lots of little pool rules, like no shorts, no jumping or running, and kids couldn't use the whirlpool. They were enforced so strictly that it made the place feel less relaxing. We bought new swimwear and tried to treat the rules as quirks. Still, this is in the middle of the Riviera, with a heated pool, nice restaurant, morning bread, and we loved the VillaTent concept. This should have been a 5 star review.

The guests were friendly and not too loud, and the pitches had plenty of room with a good mix of shade and sun. The facilities were great too, especially the showers and clean, covid proof toilets. There's a pool, sauna, and extra pools where adults can relax for a moment without the kids, plus sport facilities. Staff were friendly, and the restaurant and shop with fresh bread were excellent. A best kept secret camping, so don't tell everyone ;-) Big compliments to les Pêcheurs staff!

I went at the end of July and loved it. The campsite felt tropical, and there was plenty to do nearby, though honestly staying at the campsite was the best part. The animation team were some of the best I've ever had, really nice and busy with activities. I'm not French, but I became good friends with them anyway. They cared so much about the guests that they even started learning Dutch phrases. Sanne and Lilian were the nicest people I've ever known at a campsite. That's why it's a 5/5 for me.
