Hotelf1 Toulouse Muret

The staff were incredibly kind, and having restaurants nearby was really convenient. I’m grateful for the short stay. The place is unpretentious, warm, and human, with a low room rate. Looking past the market’s neurotic standards of quality, that lower price seems to leave more room for a personal touch and takes away some of the customer’s perceived power.

There wasn’t any air conditioning, which made summer nights difficult. The service was extremely poor: our room wasn’t cleaned at all during the three days we stayed. We put our child’s diaper in a bin in the shared shower on Saturday, and it was still there Monday. At least the prices are very low.

The room was clean, we got a good welcome, and we slept well. But there was no fan to help with the heat, and the lighting in the showers and toilets is poorly designed. We’ve been coming for two years, and the hotel has been getting worse. Is that normal?

I was surprised to find reception staff there when I arrived at 11 pm. The triple room cost €30. It looked clean at first, but when I unfolded the bed, there were little black spots on the sheets that shook off. There was also a used tissue packet wedged between the wall and mattress.
