Bellevue

Right on the waterfront, this is a lovely, simple hotel. It’s a perfect stop when travelling with Brittany Ferries. If you’re on foot, getting there from the terminal is an easy ten-minute walk.

We keep coming back to this lovely little place. It’s simple and has what you need, without frills, and Madame is very helpful. The centre of Roscoff, with its many restaurants and bars, is an easy walk away. There’s a good restaurant next door too, plus a pub, though it hasn’t been too noisy on my stays. At night, the sound of the sea lapping at the beach is wonderfully restful and soporific.

The restaurant is independent of the hotel, and I haven’t tried the beds, but the food and wine are excellent. The menu du jour is very reasonably priced at 20€, and you can eat there without driving into the Centre of Roscoff and looking for a parking spot. It’s right between the ferry terminal and town, a real gem for anyone who takes the ferry often. The only thing that makes me sad is seeing the tank of crabs and lobsters. Then I remember how delicious they are!

The place is very clean, the staff are friendly and the location is great. Ask for a sea-view room if that’s what you want. The rooms aren’t huge and breakfast is a little sparse, but neither is expensive. Good value for money.
