Hotel de Quebec

The location near the old town worked well, and breakfast was good. I was there for work, and the room was large and clean, with a comfortable bed and a choice of pillows. The receptionist was helpful and pleasant, and parking is available, which was handy. There were a few shortcomings: the hairdryer casing was broken at the bottom and the light flickered. The roller blind didn’t fully darken the room, and there was no shampoo, bottled water, or tissues. These are small things, but I’m used to having them at hotels in this price range. There’s no lift.

Getting to restaurants and tourist spots on foot was easy, with the hotel sitting at the edge of town. The room was neat and clean, and the staff were helpful. There is private, secure parking, but you need to reserve it ahead of time. The bedroom internet connection was really poor.

The staff were very nice and helpful, and the hotel is well placed at the edge of the old town, quite close to the cathedral. It’s a small, clean place with an attached car park, which travellers with a car should book. Our room was tiny but practical. The bathroom and toilet are separated from the bed by a sliding door, so it’s a setup best suited to a couple who know each other well. There’s a pleasant lounge area. Because of Corona, breakfast was brought to our room. For the price, we thought it was very good value and would recommend it.
