The location is good, and the staff did what they could to make up for a rough start. My first room was in pretty bad shape and barely had any heat. They sorted it fairly quickly by explaining over the phone how I could change rooms. There was no one at reception for much of the day, including when I checked out, so I couldn’t leave my luggage there for a walk before my train. I also couldn’t keep the room past 11am on the final day without paying for another full night. For the price, I expected more.

We arrived late, after reception had closed, but they’d arranged things so we could check ourselves in without much trouble. The rooms were clean and tidy, with nothing to complain about there. It’s a cheap place right in central Rouen, close to everything on foot, including the train station.

The bathroom feels dated and really needs a full renovation. The bed was comfortable, and the hotel has elevators. Reception gave us a very warm welcome, and the location downtown is hard to beat.

The staff were really friendly, and the location was great. The rooms had a cozy, rustic look that fit the Napoleon theme. Good value for money, and I’d definitely stay here again.

I was having a very hard time, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. I won’t go into the details, but their service meant a lot to me. Thanks especially to the hotel team, and I wish you all the best. Being so close to Hôtel de Ville de Rouen also makes it a handy base for visiting and enjoying the beautiful city of Rouen. If you’re looking for a hotel, consider this one.
