It was just as advertised, a bohemian adventure at its best. The manager was friendly, though the place isn’t for the faint-hearted or anyone who struggles with stairs.

The hotel is fairly comfortable and well located, and the quality roughly matches what you pay. But the soundproofing is awful. You can hear deafening shouting from the bar next door at all hours, even on a weekday, along with noise from other rooms and car horns. There’s also no hot water at night, so taking a shower at midnight isn’t possible.

It’s inexpensive and right in the city centre, with a lovely, fresh, clean room. The hotel itself is super nice, though showering in the bathtub is awkward. You have to hold the showerhead, and water ends up all over the bathroom. There was also ridiculous noise in the middle of the night, like someone blowing up balloons or continually letting something down.
