The six-person unit was dirty, with hair in the mattresses, and smelled strongly of cigarettes. We left, but they wouldn't give us even a partial refund. It was also full of construction workers, which didn't feel safe for our family. Although the listing says the unit has AC, the fine print says there's just one small unit in a single bedroom. The other rooms were hot.
There was only one toilet for eight people, despite the listing saying there were two. The photos of the house looked nothing like its current condition. When we asked the man at reception for help, he was very rude and wouldn't assist us, even though he could have. This place should be shut down. I'd tell everyone to avoid it.
The front desk gentleman was very kind and sympathetic, but the place itself was badly kept. Dirty dishes were left in broken cupboards, and after I put them through the dishwasher, they still came out full of sand. The soap dispenser was empty, and we couldn't shut the bedroom door, which we wanted to do since we were there with our grown sons. There were clothes hanging in a tree outside and garbage, including dishes, piled out back. It looked like it had been there for weeks. The website photos were nowhere near reality. It's about 30 minutes from downtown Marseille, and we'd have been better off staying there.
The shower barely worked, but I mentioned it at reception and they had it fixed by that evening. The room suited me well and met my expectations. Breakfast was good, though it ought to be available before 7:30 for people heading to work. You also have to eat it in a hurry, and it's not fast food, is it?
For a business trip, it was good value. The rooms were clean, though they felt a little dated and worn.
