There’s a vineyard close enough to reach on foot, with delicious wine, and the pool is huge and heated. The children spent the whole day playing in it. The gorgeous house sits among vineyards, with a huge garden, and is beautifully furnished. All eight of us had plenty of space and were very comfortable. We loved every minute and have already booked another stay for next year.

We enjoyed the view of Roussillon from the terrace, and there are plenty of walks, cycling routes, and horse riding nearby. The house is large and very comfortable, with lovely gardens and an XL pool. It’s peaceful, beside open farmland and vines. Highly recommended.

The countryside setting gave the children room to roam through vineyards and fields and jump in streams. We did need a car, though some nearby outings were possible without driving: wine tasting at a local vineyard, lunch on the terrace in Joucas, and a 30-minute walk under the stars to the Michelin starred restaurant while the grandparents stayed with the kids. The heated pool worked well for all of us, and thanks for the kids’ toys. The gardens were beautiful, with landscaped areas of lavender, olive and fruit trees, lawns for the children, and a hammock I loved. There were lovely views of Roussillon too. Inside, the thoughtful decor and four large bedrooms made the house just right for eight of us, children included. Everything was well maintained, with good facilities like English TV, a coffee machine, and a welcome basket. This is my happy place. We’ll definitely be back!
