The area is pretty, and parking wasn’t an issue. This is a lovely period hotel with very friendly front of house. It feels dated to the 1970s, though I’m not sure whether that’s intentional. The rooms are very clean and well decorated, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is nice, the heating works well, and the roller blinds block the light effectively. The walls are thin, though. If you like a nostalgic feel, it’s a fine hotel.

We felt very welcome, and loved the ocean view with the sound of the waves. The hotel is comfortable, and we liked that it has kept the building’s authentic character and period furniture.

The garden-facing room was very quiet, and staying there had a bit of a holiday camp feel. In the evening, antique light fixtures filled it with a red glow. The bathroom was the one disappointment, since it was modern and functional. Breakfast was varied and quite generous, served facing the sea on retro tableware. As someone who loves 1950s architecture, I found the visit lived up to my expectations. It’s a superb building overlooking the beach, with period decor throughout. The main room was so bright and colorful 🌈😍. Excellent!

The center is an easy walk away, and the staff were friendly. The room-sharing setup was a problem for me, though: my neighbor’s snoring woke me up. Fine for a night or two, but I wouldn’t suggest it for anyone who has trouble sleeping. There’s no luggage storage.
