We called the day before booking and were told they'd arrange for us to arrive after 8 p.m., even though check-in normally ends then, and that our bicycles could be kept somewhere secure. A flat tire and chain trouble meant we couldn't arrive on time, so I called around 5 p.m. The manager was extremely rude and said the earlier information was all wrong and we couldn't come after 8. We reached the hotel at 8:30, and the manager had stayed to hand over the key, but complained the whole time and spoke to us rudely. It was a nightmare to arrive hoping for a pleasant stay and be treated that way. They did eventually let us store the bicycles safely, though only after a lot of nagging from the manager. The room was cozy and very clean, and worth the price. The treatment wasn't. The hotel and location are good, but we decided we would never return.

The location is perfect, and the service and what they offer were fantastic. It did feel like a step back to the old-school style of hotel, though.

A cheap hotel in Royan with very comfortable beds. There was no hairdryer, shampoo, or tea-making setup. Breakfast on the terrace was okay.

Clean, comfortable, good value, and within walking distance of the beach. I'd stay again.

The breakfast was generous and tasty, and the staff were helpful from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, with a comfortable bed, and the hotel is only 100m from the beach. The main drawback was the temperature: there’s no air conditioning to cool the room during hot spells. The shower was also hard to set, and very hot water could come out unexpectedly.
