Renaissance Paris Hippodrome De St. Cloud Hotel

Les Hamptons is a real highlight, with delicious, substantial fine dining at lunch and dinner. The chef deserves credit, and I’d recommend the restaurant. The sauna itself is comfortable and good, but the rest of the spa experience needs improvement. Finding it feels like a quest since the entrance is concealed behind curtains. I even made a video to help other guests locate the spa.

The sauna and hammam area was the letdown. The sauna is comfortable, but the rest needs work. There was visibly mold in the filtered-water decanter, which seems dangerous, and I asked staff to address it. The area also needs more attention, hot water for tea, and better conditions for guests. As it is, both the space and the route through the hotel to reach it feel depressing. By contrast, the interiors of the restaurant and halls are impressive, mixing French elegance with an English club feel and equestrian touches like wood and leather. Big windows bring in plenty of light. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds, and breakfast was well balanced. Staff worked diligently. Les Hamptons serves fine dining at lunch and in the evening, with delicious, full-sized dishes. The chef deserves recognition, and I highly recommend it. The hotel aims to blend Parisian energy with a secluded, countryside feel. It occupies former racetrack service buildings, and the design keeps a connection to horse racing. Saint-Cloud Racetrack opened in 1901 and soon became a symbol of aristocratic leisure. This design hotel carries that tradition into a new kind of prestigious stay, with an unusual mix of big-city pace and a private-club atmosphere surrounded by nature. There are parking lots around the hotel for racetrack and hotel visitors, though nights are relatively quiet if your room doesn’t face the road.

The staff made this stay stand out. They were attentive, helpful, and fantastic throughout. Omy helped us plan the trip and find last-minute Louvre tickets. Camille, our Mon Petit Paris guide at the Louvre, deserves a shoutout too. We booked a standard double through the Marriott app and were upgraded to an executive room for our honeymoon. The hotel is beautiful, well located, and has great amenities. We loved it and will gladly recommend it.

Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful, but this stay left me feeling violated. During our December 23rd to December 29th visit, 169 euros went missing from our room on the first day. I still haven’t had a response or seen the matter resolved. We’ve always chosen Marriott for vacations, which makes this especially saddening. And the reply saying the information was incorrect? I remember exactly where the money was left, on the desk where it was taken. There’s still been no communication. Did anyone even raise it with housekeeping? I’m assuming not. Never again. How dare you respond with incorrect information. Shame on you. Fine, I’ve made a note for future vacations.
